Kentrell Brothers

Inside Linebacker #10
Senior 6’1″ 235

Kentrell is a tackling machine who has become known for his monster stat line during his time at Missouri.

  • Doesn’t quit during a play or take plays off.
  • Has short field quickness
  • Needs to improve lateral quickness; was beaten to the edge more than should have been.
  • A very solid fundamental tackler.
  • Plays with good instincts.
  • Has very little wasted movement when changing directions.
  • Will need to gain weight in the NFL.

Kentrell Brothers has had a very successful career with Mizzou.  He finished the regular season leading the national in tackles with 152. Brothers has very good instincts on the football field.  As he improved in pass coverage from his junior year to his senior year, he still gets stiff when covering the middle of the field.  He has far less issues when he covers the flats.

Kentrell Brothers will need to gain weight after he joins a roster.  This shouldn’t be a problem.  Brothers has a lot of potential and does a lot of things extremely well but he needs to do them faster and learn to take proper angles to compensate for lack of straight speed.  He isn’t a sure plug and play player but he could be valuable down the road for a team that drafts him this Spring.
