NFL Scouting Minute: Garrett Johnson, WR, Kentucky

nfl draft podcast

In today’s scouting minute, Zac Blackerby chats with Kentucky’s Garrett Johnson.

Johnson was a very efficient wide receiver for the Wildcats as he had over 500 yards through the air during his last three years. His 5’11, 175 pound frame does not make him a big receiver but does force him to use his biggest strength, his mind. Johnson believes that he has a high football IQ and is able to use that to his advantage to create space. He found open field in the SEC over the past three seasons and he hopes he will be able to at the NFL level.

He like to watch Julian Edelman, Wes Welker, and Antonio Brown and ams to model his game after those high level receivers.
